Pipe
Culverts / Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP)
With a multitude of pipe sizes, shapes, gauges, coatings and materials options, corrugated metal pipe (CMP) products offer specifiers and users the greatest versatility and flexibility in designing drainage solutions to best fit their projects’ exact requirements. Our CMP products provide the highest service life, strength, and hydraulic properties.
Product Specifications:
- Predictable service life – capable of 100+ years
- The most environmentally friendly and LEED-friendly drainage product on the market
- Great strength – the strength and integrity of steel-soil structure interactions are almost unlimited
- 100% traceability – with verifiable data reports from the raw steel mills
High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
Advantage Drainage Systems (ADS) Dual Wall pipe is available in 4-inch to 60-inch diameters and is suitable for use in gravity flow drainage applications. It features a corrugated exterior for structural strength and smooth interior for maximum hydraulic efficiency. Its superior strength-to-weight ratio and flexible conduit design mean it will support H-25 live loads with a minimum cover of 1 foot, while also allowing considerable cover heights.
Advantage Drainage Systems (ADS) pipe is available with a full line of standard and custom fittings in either a soil-tight or watertight (10.8 psi) joint connection. It is also manufactured and tested in accordance with AASHTO M252 Type S, AASHTO M294 Type S, ASTM F2306 and ASTM F2648.
Product Specifications:
- Watertight configuration
- Dual gasket technology
- Lubricant-free gasket available
- Cost savings in materials and installation
- 60% fewer joints
- More resistant to abrasion and corrosion
Ultra Flo
With over 20 years of proven performance, ULTRA FLO is one of the most hydraulically efficient storm sewer systems available because of its smooth interior surface and longer lengths, resulting in fewer joints and hydraulically efficient prefabricated junctions including elbows, manholes and catch basins. Available in galvanized steel, Aluminized Steel Type 2, polymer coated and aluminum to meet a wide variety of environmental and service life requirements. For projects with limited headroom, ULTRA FLO is available in pipe-arch.
Millions of feet of ULTRA FLO have been installed in thousands of storm sewer projects nationwide, providing significant cost savings. Because steel ULTRA FLO weighs less than 10% of concrete pipe, handling and installation costs are greatly reduced. Aluminum ULTRA FLO has only 1/35 the weight of concrete pipe.
Lower labor costs also result from fast and easy joining. CONTECH Quick Stab® joints or coupling bands do not require special skills or tools. Twenty-foot standard lengths mean fewer joints and faster laying. And, longer lengths are available on special order. ULTRA FLO’s smaller outside diameter permits a reduction in trench widths and depths, providing time and cost savings for both excavation and backfilling operations. Shop-fabricated fittings save installation time in the field while providing hydraulically efficient junctions.
Product Specifications:
- Predictable service life – capable of 100+ years
- The most environmentally friendly and LEED-friendly drainage product on the market
- Great strength – the strength and integrity of steel-soil structure interactions are almost unlimited
- Uniquely used to rehabilitate/reline deteriorating culverts
Benefits of ULTRA FLO pipe:
- Economical – Longer, smaller diameter and lighter weight than concrete means economy when installing
- Proven Structural Strength – Shown to be equivalent to reinforced concrete pipe
- Hydraulically Efficient – Manning’s “n” of 0.012
- Multiple coatings available – Meets a wide variety of environmental and service life requirement
Slotted Drain
Slotted Drain pipe is a practical, aesthetically pleasing inlet for the efficient removal of surface water on streets and highways. It also is widely used in parking lots and similar locations to remove sheet flow without complex multiple grades or water channeling devices. Slotted Drain pipe is fabricated from CONTECH Corrugated Steel Pipe, which is cut along a longitudinal axis. A trapezoidal or straight-sided grate with reinforcing spacer plates is welded in place to form a 1 3/4”-wide slot opening which collects runoff and channels it to the pipe below.
CONTECH Slotted Drain has been used at countless locations throughout the United States for more than 40 years simply because it is the most effective solution to water removal problems. It is a versatile and cost-effective solution for surface water removal on many sites.
Product Specifications:
- Improved drainage efficiency – Intercepts up to 50% more runoff than most standard 2’ x 2’ grate inlets
- Proven structure – thick grate and spacer plates – Structurally sound, resists deformation under heavy traffic loads and thermal expansion
- Extends only 2” from curb – Eliminates hazardous dips and ponding, and minimizes hazards to two-wheel vehicles
- Straight-sided grate
- Resists clogging and retains effectiveness even when a localized blockage occurs in one area
- No hardware of heavy grate – Easy to maintain
- Simple design – Easy to install
